Religion, Knowledge Production, and Social Meaning in the Context of Globalized Society

Abstract


This study explores the relationship between religion, knowledge production, and social meaning in a globalized society. Globalization has transformed how religious knowledge is produced, disseminated, and interpreted. The purpose of this research is to analyze the social implications of religious knowledge in global contexts. A qualitative research method was applied through discourse analysis of global religious narratives and academic literature. The findings indicate that globalization facilitates both the expansion and contestation of religious knowledge, shaping new social meanings. The study concludes that religious knowledge remains a vital source of meaning amid global social change
